Project intro

A global brand running on a website built on borrowed time.

Strada Global delivers people, payroll, and technology solutions to enterprises across 180+ countries. It's a global brand with the scale and stature to match. Its website didn't tell that story.

Built on WordPress and held together by third-party plugins, stradaglobal.com carried mounting security risk, a growing backlog of SEO issues, and ten languages managed through a translation plugin that made every change harder than it needed to be.

  • A quick-launch site, not an enterprise one

Stood up fast when Strada became a company in 2024, the original WordPress build got the new brand online — but relied on third-party plugins and carried security and maintenance risk no global enterprise should.

  • Ten languages, one tangled system

Translations were bolted on through WPML across a structure never built for them, so routine updates multiplied across every language and slowed the whole team down.

  • The right partners for the job

Good Day Collective, serving as Strada's fractional CMO, set the brand and marketing direction — and brought in Lightburn as the technical experts to migrate, rebuild, and engineer the platform underneath it.

Before: The Quick-Launch Site

  • Built fast on WordPress
  • Held together by third-party plugins
  • 10 languages bolted on via WPML
  • Below average technical site health and lots of SEO errors
  • Ongoing security and maintenance risk

Now: Built for Enterprise Scale

  • Rebuilt on a secure Umbraco (.NET) foundation
  • Native multilingual across 10 languages
  • Clean, structured, SEO-ready architecture
  • Assemble pages from modular, reusable blocks
  • Personalization, A/B Testing and Analytics with Engage

The Problem

A fast launch, and the problems it left behind.

Built fast, not built to last

WordPress CMS leaning heavily on third-party plugins and themes, which introduced real security and maintenance risk for a company operating at global scale.

Ten languages to keep in sync

Ten languages running on a content structure that was never designed for multilingual management at scale, so routine updates rippled across cultures and created constant overhead.

A backlog of SEO debt

A 74% technical health score with 356 errors, from broken content structure to missing metadata, all quietly dragging on organic visibility.

Numbers no one could trust

A mismatch between conversion metrics and actual lead submissions, putting marketing spend at risk of being optimized against inflated data.

The Solution

Rebuilt on Umbraco, engineered for enterprise scale.

A secure enterprise foundation on Umbraco

We migrated stradaglobal.com off WordPress and onto Umbraco, a secure .NET platform built for enterprise scale and hosted on Umbraco Cloud. The plugin sprawl and security risk gave way to a stable, well-supported foundation ready to grow on.

A design system, translated into modular blocks

We turned Good Day Collective's design system into a library of reusable Umbraco components and content blocks, giving Strada's editors the freedom to build and update pages without developer support.

Lead forms that convert and connect

Rebuilt, optimized forms integrated directly with HubSpot turned a leaky, hard-to-trust process into a clean pipeline, lifting lead volume and giving the team accurate tracking from first touch to submission.

SEO debt cleared, then managed

The rebuild resolved the content-structure and metadata issues behind the site's 74% health score, and ongoing SEO management has since pushed technical health to 94%.

Built to grow after launch

Since going live in September 2025, we've extended the platform with Umbraco Engage for on-site personalization and analytics, added Umbraco Workflow for structured content approvals, and kept the site improving through ongoing maintenance and optimization.
