The Challenge

Improve website functionality for one of Wisconsin’s premier nonprofit organizations.

The Wisconsin Humane Society's old site was underperforming and uninspiring—two big misses for an organization whose mission relies on publishing pet-related content and tugging human heartstrings. So, when WHS came to us seeking a new digital home for posting available pets and promoting its purpose, we got to work on a fresh visual design, a thoughtful site structure, and a slick content-management process. The biggest challenge? Not taking home all the soft and lovable animals we got to meet along the way.

The Solution

We developed a beautifully designed website with a focus on content management and usability.

With user experience in mind, we created an impressive website that has a clean, responsive design and an intuitive navigation system. We implemented a custom CMS using Microsoft’s .Net framework that allows for flexibility and scalability to grow over time. The new digital platform includes a custom-built ecommerce integration with Webshop, so WHS can sell merchandise from its online store more easily than ever. In an effort to further promote the new website, we conducted keyword research, optimized the site for search engines, and set up Google Analytics.

The Outcome

With WHS's new digital platform, visitors can easily find the latest animals up for adoption, view upcoming events, and shop the online store. The new easy-to-use content management system makes adding and updating content easier than ever, so WHS can keep its visitors up-to-date and informed.
